The Poster
The message of the simulating poster add with the Nama worker face has various meanings. It is more "unreal" and more "truthful" than ordinary advertising. The poster presents a person "sentenced" on economic instability and on the other hand, at the same time it suggests certain qualities such as trust, security and stability in typical advertising language. The project is pointing on the fact that the Nama s problem is not isolated, reminding on workers from various enterprises which went on bankruptcy in period of transition

What kind of intervention we are talking about?
For weeks Andreja Kuluncic is in the intensive communication with Union associations of Nama, once the strongest warehouse chain and today insolvent enterprise, still with unsolved destiny. Posters the portrait of woman, Nama worker with crosswise arms and text "Nama: 1908 employees, 15 department stores ", are placed on the advertising spots of city-light adds on various locations in wider center of Zagreb (two posters on the Main Railway Station, one in Jurisiceva and Miramarska street, one on Kaptol and Savska, Tresnjevacki plac, Trg burze and Vlaska).
Presented two weeks before Exhibition opening, Andreja Kuluncic s project wants to initialize public discussion on Exhibition issues i.e. on transition process and individual destinies in social change.

In authors words:
" Moved by newspapers articles and workers strikes of the largest Croatian warehouse chain -Nama, and trying to answer on Exhibition theme "What, How and For Whom", I started to call demonstration participants and Union members trying to find out how to place their "personal" problem as the part of public dialogue and consideration. I was not facing the problem from the point of money, guilt, commerce, ownership transformation, "good and bad" guys of the story, I was thinking about market economy which we are entering which brings something to us, something takes away, raises the questions and updates the problems.
How people manage? Are individual destinies (if you could say that for 1908 workers) relevant "social sample"? Are we going in ownership transformation too fast or too slow, are we talking about these issues with sufficient human viewpoint when we approach completely different way of life? How do we follow that, and who does and who does not mange to walk along? What happens with those who are failing? Does it have wider connotations or these are only individual "failures", "incapability", and "sad stories"? Are the language knowledge, young age and computer literacy the only "value" on the labor market? Is the newspapers article saying "people over 35 have no chances to get the job" provocative enough for thinking and discussion?"
