THE FIRST SKI DESCENT FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD

On the 7th of October 2000, at 7 am, Slovenian extreme skier Davo Karnicar reached the top of Mt. Everest. One hour later he started skiing from the summit, and has finished his ski descent after 4 and half hours of skiing near the base camp at the attitude of 5360 meters. Davo Karnicar became the first man to complete a ski descent from the Top of the World, after he has lost two fingers in his previous attempt on the north side of the mountain in 1996. This is a story about him, about the expedition which needed only three weeks to reach the top of Mt. Everest, and of course, about his ski descent.
