The games from Slovenia:
SNAIL (by 4.c)
First we draw a snail on the ground.
The player who starts the game must jump through all the sections of the snail on one foot.
In the middle of the snail the player can have a rest on both feet. But then she/he must
return to the start. If she/he steps on the line she/he must go out of the snail and wait
for other players to go through the snail and then he tries again. If the player does the
snail without a mistake she/he can choose one section and she/he puts down his mark.
This section of the snail becomes his. And when the player starts the game again, she/he can rest
in his section. Other players can't step on the section which belong to other players.
STEALING THE LAND (by 4.c)
It's a game for 3 to 10 players. You need a stick and a chalk.
Draw a circle on the ground. Devide the circle into 3 to 10 equal parts (one for each player).
In the centre of the circle draw a smaller circle called the Sun.
Each player takes his place in the circle by stepping on it. Each player names his "teritory" with name
of one country. We get 3 to 10 countries.
The players agree on who will start the game. The player who starts the game takes the stick in her/his hand
and declares "war" to one of the players. She/he says:"I declare war to..." Then she/he quickly throws the
stick on the teritory of e.g. China.
All the players quickly leave their position and run away. The attacked player steps on the stick and
says "STOP". All the players stop running.
The attacked player picks up the stick trying to hit another player.
If the attacker hits the player she/he can steal some of her/his land.
If the attacker misses, the player steals some of the attacker's teritory.
PANDOLA (by 5.c)
For this game you need one foot long stick, a small sharpened stick on both sides (pandola) and a tin. The game can be played by two players or two groups of players.
The game starts when somebody throws pandola in the air and hits it with one foot long stick. The one that throws pandola the furtherest starts the game.
The player that started the game has to hit the tin with one foot long stick and then throws pandola in the air and hit it. The opponents takes the pandola in the place where it stoped and throws it towards the tin and tries to hit it.
The player should protect the tin with a stick. She/he has three hits: she/he hits pandola so pandola has to jump in the air and the player hit it again in the air so pandola goes as far as possible.
In the possition the pandola stops after the third hit the player should estimate a distance of the pandola from the tin measured with the stick. If the distance is correct the player gets as many points like his estimation was. But if the estimation is longer the players get nothing and they change the positions.
RISTANC (by 3.c)
This is one of the most popular games. Xou only need a piece of chalk and a small stone to play it. First you draw the playing zone (look at the picture).
Play as described bellow:
Player No. 1 throws the small stone on the square numbered 0. Then she/he turns around and jumps back. Where there is only one square she/he steps in with only one leg, but where there are two, she/he steps in with both.
When the player reaches the last number she/he reaches the last number, she/he turns and jumps back on the beginnig with the small stone in his hand. If she/he misses square marked with 0 or steps on the line, player No. 2 is on turn. If not, she/he can continue. Who throws the small stone on the muber 10 first and jump all the way back, wins.
HUNTERS (by 5.c)
This is a game about ticking your opponent out of the game. The game starts when someone throws the ball. Those who catches the ball is the hunter. The others are lions.
The hunter throws the ball into one lion. She/he can't move when he throws the ball. If he hits one this one is out of the game. If lion catches the ball, she/he is still in the game and becomes the hunter. If the ball hits one lion and then someone else, the second one is out too. If the ball hits first the ground and then a lion, the lion is still in the game.
When there are just five players left the hunter can make one big step. When there are four players left two steps are allowed. The court is limited, about six meters wide and sevem meters long.
THE ROTTEN EGG (by 3.c)
Even grandparents when they were young played the game called "The rotten egg". The game is very simple and
requiers at least six players and a handkercief. Everybody sits in a circle and only one walks around talking:
"Bucket, oh bucket holding water, whoever looks back she/he gets it on her/his back." When she/he walks behind
their backs she/he has to put the handkerchief behind one's back. If the player notices in time that she/he has
a handkerhief, she/he has to grab it and run after to catch the one who left if there. If she/he cathes her/him
they switch places. The rotten egg is the one who doesn't see that the handkerchief behind him. She/he is the
rotten egg until someone else replaces him.

This player must leave the room. Others hide the thing and then call him back. They guide him around the
room saying hot, hot when close to the thing or cold, cold when she/he is away from it. When the player
finds the thing, the game is over. It can be played as long as wished.
SNAKE TWISTING (by 4.a)

The games from Sweeden:
THE GRASSHOPPER
- You all stand in a circle very tight together and the arms around each other, you can be from three to as many you like.
- Now you all read together like this " The Grasshopper has a headdache so suddendly it jumps away".
- Everybody takes a big jump away from the circle.
- Now somebody has to start the game, the teacher chooses one child. The one who starts try to jump one somebody's foot. If you hit somebody's foot he/she is out. The game continue.
- If you miss you must say the name of other friend, who get the chance to hit somebody and of course you don't say the name of enybody who is close to you.
- You are not allowed to jump twice.
- When you give somebody else a chance you say "I give, for example Maria a chance so now it is her turn to tread one a foot and then Maria gives the chance to somebody else.
- You continue to jump and try to get as many out as possible. When there are only two left, they hold each other hands and try to tread one each other's foot. The one who gets hit first are the one who loose.
DUNKEN
The numbers of children who can play this game are from three to as many as you like.
First you all agree on the size of the play area, in the play area there should be many opportunities to hide such as trees, houses and different kinds of obstacles. You must also be able to hear the child who is counting so the area must not be too big.
Now you all decide on where you can do "the Dunken" and here the child stands who is going to start to count to one hundred.
The game starts when one child starts to count to one hundred. This child is not allowed to look, he or she has to close the eyes and count loud to 100.
When the child has count to 100, he/she shouts:"One hundred hear I come" and now tries to find the others. If the counter goes too far and children who are hiding see the possibility to run to the place where the Counter stood and say "Dunk for me 1 2 3", they are free and just have to sit down and wait until the game is over for this time.
If the Counter spots somebody, he/she has to run as fast as he/she can to reach the spot where he/she put the hand and says:"Dunk for (and then says the name or names of the fiends he/she has seen).
The game goes on like this until there is one child still hiding somewhere left.
Now it is very exciting because the last child can get all the others free and if this happens, the Counter who started must count once more. If not, the first child the Counter succeeded to say "Dunk" to he/she is the new Counter.
You can do it as many times you like or until you all get tired. It gives averybody a little bit of excersise.
