The
Course for Curators
The curatorial course is the only program in Slovenia oriented towards
practical and theoretical education in the field of contemporary art.
It derives from the idea that the future experts should be taught
the skills and methods, which will help them at their dealings with
the complex matter of the world of art.
The course enables
broader knowledge related to the work of a curator when drafting
the concept and setting up exhibitions. The chosen course attendees
will be under the guidance of mentors from November 2004 to September
2005. During this period they will form a concept for the exhibition
and set it up in the Škuc Gallery. The course also includes workshops
intended for gaining practical knowledge (public relations, organising
exhibitions, etc.), meetings with artists and curators as well as
study trips across Slovenia and Croatia.
Slovenian language is a necessity in order to participate at the
course.
Deadline for applications: Thursday 7th October 2004
