Izjemen portret devetinšestdesetletne interseksualke (hermafrodita, torej rojene z moškimi in ženskimi spolnimi organi) Claude/tte, ki je svoje otroštvo v Maroku preživela kot fant, dokler je pri štirinajstih letih o seksu in prostituciji ni poučila starejša ženska. Ko se je Claude/tte pri enaindvajsetih s starši vrnila v Švico, je spet zaživela kot moški, se poročila z žensko in vzgojila dva otroka. Delala je kot uspešen arhitekt, a po finančnem polomu se je vrnila k prostituciji in z imenom Claudette spet prevzela svojo žensko plat. Claudette is an enthusiastic 60-something who is a prostitute and proud of it. Born a hermaphrodite, married and the granddad of a happy family, she lives her ambivalent life with panache. At an age when she should be hanging up her garter, Claudette embarks on a public campaign to defend the rights of prostitutes, risking discovery of the truth about her occupation by her own family and friends.
