MIRKO SIMIC was born on 6 May 1965 in Valjevo, Yugoslavia.
In the last ten years he was a member of several video associations, and took part as a technician, cameraman, editor, screen-writer, or director in numerous video projects in Slovenia.

He founded the "BRIS" art group in September 1989.

He studied at the Academy of Electronics Ljubljana and at the Academy of Film and Theatre in Belgrade, but he did not graduate.

He received several awards for his video works.

He was employed as a cameraman on TV Slovenia for two years.

He is a freelance artist living in Ljubljana.
