Frontier book collection features titles in the field of humanities and social sciences (e.g. popular culture, media theory, sociology of culture) and literature (poetry and prose). Frontier edition is published by Subkulturni azil Maribor, a non-governmental cultural institution registered in 1999, though beforehand - since the beginning of the 90s - the Frontier books were issued regularly by various cultural organisations. More than 30 books, which have appeared up to 2004, deal mostly with unconventional yet current themes presented and interpreted by new authors. The aim of the Frontier collection is to cover marginal topics and incite the research of the overseen social phenomena.
