The first book by Petra Kolmančič features in three sections 69 poems. Lev Detela observes: "Ambivalent erotic and corporal episodes as a recurrent motive are shaped by fresh stylistic means, dressed in effective metaphors, symbolising her own perception of life and society… The central problem of the poetry arises from a variety of relations between the woman and the man. The female might be emphasized, though it is not at all feminist literature clad in ideology."
