In the fourth collection of poems by Petra Kolmančič the central theme evolves around closeness and desire. It is perpetuated through poet's reflection towards a unique love discourse. Longing after closeness does not focus merely a concrete love subject. The poet plunges into the abstract and the objective, her desire wants to probe the depths of all that is attainable to spirit, senses, body; forget-me-nots, sea-horses, thoughts and words - all disclosing a pretext and necessary consequences of the closeness. The new collection reconfirms distinctiveness and lucidity of Kolmančič's poetics. The poet's literary credo - "a skill of changing the spaces into places, the persons into personalities, the happenings and situations into events and adventures" - has been fulfilled again.
