Kako so močno dihali: prvo triletje primera Petek
("They were breathing forcefully - first three years of the Petek case")
In Slovene language. Published in 2004.
An analytical collection of articles and commens related to the development of the Petek Case. The chronology of events, the crucial issues of the investigation (the work of prosecution, the parlamentary commission, the feed-back in local and international media, the entanglements and unclearness, the hypotheses about the involvement of economy, mafia, politics in the brutal attack on the journalist). In Slovene media public space the Petek case has developed from the initial physical incident, an attack on the journalist into a moral issue. It negates our right that media will dare to tackle the economy crime. It deals with the problem of human rights and laws in the case that human life is at stake. If somebody would like to execute the journalist and our right to know, this is a problem related to media. If the organs of prosecution are not effective, this is a problem of the society. If it is true that somebody is comfortable with the non-solved case, this is the problem of politics.
