Jessica Pavone
Jessica Pavone is a string instrumentalist, composer, and teacher
based in New York City. Most recently, she has performed as a violistin a duo
with Mary Halvorson (guitar and viola), in a duo with Jacob Danziger (viola,
violin and computer) Taylor Ho-Bynum+IBk-s Spider Monkey Strings, String Trio
with Terrence Murren (bass) and Gil Selinger (cello), and as an electric bass
player in Jason Cady and the Artificials. She is currently writing new solo
music for the viola. Her music has been heard throughout the the northeast in
venues such as the Kitchen in New York and Real Art Ways in Hartford, Connecticut.
She has also worked with composers such as Butch Morris, Evan Hause, James Fei,
Assif Tsahar, Kevin O'Neil, Andrew D'Angelo, and Seth Misterka. Her compositions
have been documented on Peacock Recordings (www.peacock-recordings.com),
and she appears on the recordings of Assif Tshar (New York Underground Orchestra
- Hopscotch), James Fei (Proun Space - Organized Sound), Butch Morris (The Jump
Arts Orchestra / Conduction 117 - Jump Arts Records), Jackson Moore (The Laboratory
Band - Peacock), and the Middletown Creative Orchestra (Newsonic).
