The Library Collects, arranges and preserves both in book and other forms material relating to the history of Slovenian theatre and dramatic arts. It is divided into a book collection, a collection of theatre scripts performed in Slovenia's professional theatres, a collection of miscellaneous small publications and leaflets and a comprehensive collection of the Library of the Drama Society, which embraces prints and manuscripts of scripts (plays) from the first period of the Slovenian theatre. The Library collaborates in Slovenian Theatre Museum publications through its bibliographies.
