The cultural association Bobnars United (KUD BU) was established in the year 2001. Its aim is providing a solid framework to the artistic expression of the group, also enabling a more serious approach to performing their ideas and representing them to the outer world. KUD BU is a group of people with common interests, common views on culture, interpretation and comprehension of music as well that share their ways of achieving the esthetical communication among each other - and with the audience(s). The views differ internally from time to time, but this diversity of opinions and practices is always used to a creative advantage, making the productions bolder and more innovative. Not only does the associational framwork offer a better insight into the "management" of the/a group as a complex system, but it also creates better opportunities for funding socially conscious and/or experimental projects. For it is well known that without out-sourced funding true artistic expression is rarely possible and can usually not be fulfilled to the desired extent within the liberal context of "music business". The possibilities opened by the hybrid working processes in the collective atmosphere of the association definitely make it worth while to sometimes let go of the proverbial (in deed somewhat traditionally African!) "solo player".
