Unlike many choreographers at home and abroad, Potočan and his dancers are well aware of the danger of following or blindly accepting the prevailing patterns that currently happen to be "in". He always focuses on the research of his material, develops and seeks new principles for a suitable form of movement for precise expression on the stage. Potočan knows how to infuse the universal states of human existence, human relationships and stages in the life of human beings with subtle hues of moods which the viewers recognise as their own, and consequently respond to them with light-heartedness and laughter.

The Fourklor physical theatre is characterised by an organically natural movement defined by choreography. Its moveable dictionary is filled with the balancing and play of body weight. The subjects themselves bring about the need to use the story delineating props. In this way unusual perspectives and views of a situation are created. The group members stick to the rule "less is more", and above all, they know what they want to avoid.
