125 m of fine concrete along the sides of canal bed is done over nigh by lining machine .
When night fell the desert became an anthill. Strong light were switched on the enormous machine that pour concrete on the canal walls. It was still hot but cool enough for the concrete to dry slowly. On the edge of the machine which was fed by two trucks full of concrete, there were fifty workers, which polished the surface of the walls with wooden planks. Barefooted and with white turbans on their heads they looked like reflections of hieroglyphics where you find pictures of the builders of the pyramids. The strong lights made the whole scene surreal, but behind their back a very realistic concrete wall was emerging.
