   bb-egypt-100.jpg 6th of October - 16 years back general Anvat El Sadat draw on the map a square 16 by 12 km and commanded to build a city - one third of industrial aria, one third of housing aria , one third of tourist aria...City for one million people.. - the main reason for desert cities is to move industry out from Nil wally ..after Sadat "commander" to build new industrial cities , everybody who build new factory is(was) not obliged to pay duties.. in 19 years 1500 factories are operating in 6 Oct.. >>>majority of the city is still ghost town . thousands prefer to drive from Cairo (easily two hours one way )and back for work every day.. - First the fixed asphalt roads and street lighting ...and than block after block along the street...still today some parts are just asphalt roads... - it is very easy to build in Egypt.. no reign , no humidity > simple roofing.. insolation for heat it ends up with air condition anyway...sand is around , - 4-5 km from living district are factories : Al Ahram daily ( the biggest in Egypt ) printing factory., Nestlee, Suzuki, General Motors, Marcedes... |
