As an autonomous structure, the KUNSTHALLE pushes up lengthwise against the Winter Riding Hall. Its brick roof overlaps the edge of the Riding Hall's roof. Aside from light slots on the front sides, the KUNSTHALLE has no other openings for daylight at all, which is entirely in keeping with the explicit wish of the KUNSTHALLE's management. Artificial light is used as a consistent element to enable the perception of art. |
