The connection between the cochlear implant in the inner ear and the processor outside the body is made with a magnet. Children can play football without the fear of injuring their cochlear implant. In the hectic communication in the game they still mostly use their hands.
SUVAG is a rehabilitation centre for deaf childeren. Childeren who were born deaf, had an operation and an implant was build in their scull and inner ear. With a rehabilitation they learn how to hear and speak. Rehabilitation last between two and four years. Childeren are enrolled in normal school or kindergarten. |
