By the end of december 2009 ended the photographic competition Picture Slovenia. My photo from Kačna Cave won the first prize among 8000 registered photos. Tthis was surely one of my favourite awards ever. Photo shows a hall in 190 meters deep entrance abyss of Kačna Cave, where the cavers succeeded to make their way to Reka river.

At the end of November,I got the second prize award at the XX. festival of cave and canyonning photography, for the shot Gradišnica. You can find more about it at their Web page.

The Natural Science Museum of Slovenia has published extensive book about Slovenian geological characteristiscs in second half of year 2009. The book picturesquely and accurately describes geological themes, there are also my photos in some chapters, mostly of calcite forms from different Slovenian caves.

XXXII. Competition for the best cave photography of a caving club Grupo Espeleologico Ribereńo was concluded at the begining of October. I got first prize award for the photo from Burja cave. You can see first three awarded works at their site.

In NeDelo magazine was published an article about speleo enthusiasts - about Jernej Petrovčič who is addicted to search for new caves, especially in area around Planinsko polje, about me :-) and about Rosana Cerkvenik who is also a student of geology, cave guide and good explorer.

In the second half of the year came out famous cave photography calendar of Speleoprojects publishing house. In this issue my photo from Martinska jama is published as month september.

As usually at the end of August came out German calendar Unterwelten 2010, published by German association Arbeitsgemeinschaft Höhle & Karst Grabenstetten. This year is published a photo (by me and Max Wisshak) from the cave in southern France.

From more then a decade of pressing the camera's trigger in Slovenian caves, originated a stack of beautiful photos, eternalized on film. I don't use it anymore. This period, that I concluded in 2005 surely deserves small attention in a form of a book. And so came to life 80 pages long monography of a certain era, ambued with genuine partnership with felow cavers and research of Slovenian underground.

In december 2008 I too succumbed to blogomania. The page hasn't been updated for years, I mainly published photographies only on Speleo Club Železničar web page, but I wanted to tell more. About stereo photography, caving, video, cave photography, digital cameras… about everything, that interests me creativily. Blog is in Slovenian language, but I hope, that help from translators will make it understandable also in other languages.

In September's edition of Slovenian magazine Gea was published a longer article about man in extreme situations. Article describes some extreme sports and their impact on human, and there is also my contribution about caving/speleology. Next to it is my photography from Feranova Buža cave. There are also some photographies from Planinska jama in this edition.

In the second half of the year came out famous cave photography calendar of Speleoprojects publishing house. In this issue my photo from TauTona is published as month september. On the photo you can see caver Ines Klinkon in hall called “Rumeni ugrez”. Assistants were Jernej Petrovčič and Miha Staut.

At the end of November,I got the second prize award at the XVIII. festival of cave and canyonning photography, for the shot of a Hall in TauTona cave. You can find more about it at their Web page.

More from curiosity than anything else, I sent the photography of Kačna cave to Imaging Resources web page, where they every day pick Photo of the day, and winning photo at the end of the month. Entrance hall of Kačna cave became the best photo of November 2007, and for a reward I earned top-level Canon printer. But finnaly I got money compensation, because postal charge for Slovenia would be too expensive.

In October edition of Ucrainian variety of English magazine Photographer, a longer article about cave photography was published and introduced some of significant cave photographers. We can stroll around the article and photographies, unfortunetely in Ucrainian language and of course in Cyrillic alphabet. Beside me in this article they introduce also German photographer Max Wisshak and Andreas Shoeber, Spaniard Tony Merino and Poles Kasia and Marcin Gala.

This year I devoted most of my cave photography actions to making of Caving club Železničar calendar. As early as last year at the club,we discussed the idea about a calendar, with club members sparsely dressed. In spite of incipient scepticism, we made the first shot at the begining of April at Ice cave at Stojna and later followed many more interesting caves. The calendar is embelished by 6 female cavers and 6 male cavers, photographies were made in different Slovenian caves.

At the begining of October the interview about my photographic work was published at Turkish photographers's web page Fotoritim. I was asked questins by Levent Yildiz and it resulted in quite extensive interview with numerous photographies. Although the prevailing language of this page is Turkish, the interview is published also in English.

At the end of September, there was jubilee XXX. cave photography competition of Grupo Espeleologico Ribereńo caving club. I got third prize for a photograph from Mitja's cave (Cave in Jezerina).

At the end of August came out German calendar Unterwelten 2008, published by German association Arbeitsgemeinschaft Höhle & Karst Grabenstetten. Front page is adorned by one of my olders photos from Logarček cave, when I joined cavers from Borovnica and rakek in discovering of jet undiscovered parts. Tine and Tone Palčič helped me at photographing.

In the middle of August came out famous cave photography calendar of Speleoprojects publishing house. My photo from Predjama is published on a front page of this year's calendar. On the photo you can see well known stalagmite called »snail«, located near the begining of East pit. At taking shot, I was assisted by Miha Staut as caver in the background and Luka Kronegger as assistant.

In the second half of august in Mladina weekly came out article about my work. It's in a column called Striptease, photos are provided by Borut Peterlin, who writes about his photographic (and other ) adventures in his blog. Column represents personal view of a portraitee on his work. In the second half of October came out article about this column in the Italian magazine D la Repubblica delle donne, number 570/page 72-80, at the same time Borut exhibited photos at the Host gallery in London.

Since 29. of May until the end of June at the Janez Trdina cultural center in Novo Mesto, you could see another exhibition of my cave photoghraphies. I displayed 70 x 100 cm size prints, and besides already seen prints, there were also four new prints.

At the end of November,I got the second prize award at the XVII. festival of cave and canyonning photography, for the shot of a caver in a meander. You can find more about it at their Web page.

At the end of August 2005 I started to confer with Frenchman Luc Henri - Fage about publishing photos in the coming book of acknowledged author Georges Marbach, but serious arrangement to use one whole page photography, took place as late as middle of year 2006. Book came out in October 2006 at French publishing house Glenat. It describes subterranean world in a a popular and illustrative manner. Photos in a book were contributed by best cave photographers.

I wrote article with cave topics again, after a long time. I am especially proud about this one, because I put every effort in it. It was published in a Slovene edition of well known magazine Geo, on ten pages plus two whole page photographies. The article was very well accepted, which shows, that readers are interested in articles with this kind of topics.

XXIX. .Competition for the best cave photography of a caving club Grupo Espeleologico Ribereńo was concluded at the begining of October. I got second prize award for the photo of Golokratna cave.

The opening of the exhibition took place at the Chemical institut in Ljubljana on a 21. of June I displayed about 25 prints , 70 x 100 cm format, which were exhibited until the end of September.
