During the visit, the old lady reveals details of her life that intersect with Claudia’s grandmother’s past, a German fugitive of the 2nd World War. Pool is about gay persecution during the Nazi period and the achievement of LGBT civil rights in con­temporary History.

Elle Reid has just gotten through break­ing up with her girlfriend when her grand­daughter Sage unexpectedly shows up needing 600 dollars before sundown. Tem­porarily broke, Grandma Elle and Sage spend the day trying to get their hands on the cash as their unannounced visits to old friends and flames end up rattling skeletons and digging up secrets.

Alex is a boy who has just broken up with Marc, his partner for several years. In a cold winter night, their dog sickens and Alex brings him to the hospital. This situa­tion forces Marc and Alex to meet again in a long night in which everything that seemed asleep awakens.

In a Turkish area of Australia, lives a woman (Eve) in her 40s who has an unhap­py marriage, never goes outside of her local area and spends all her days in the isolation of her home like a prisoner. Her biggest joy is the time she spends in the garden at home. A woman (Lilith) pays her visits in her day­dreams. Finally, she (Eve) leaves home with everything left behind to charter her own destiny.

30 let hiv preventive v Sloveniji

The documentary “30 Years of HIV Preven­tion” is an attempt at capturing on film the work done in the field of HIV in Slovenia thus far as a record of a time marked by HIV and AIDS. It recounts the stories of dedicat­ed activists and experts reminiscing about the old days, talking about the work of their respective organisations at a time when HIV prevention programmes were not easy to im­plement. And about prevention today, when we can look into the future with optimism, into a time when HIV will be defeated.

The film describes the birth of the cabaret group in Ljubljana’s club Tiffany. It acquaints us with the performers, their stories and motives for artistic performance, and the degree to which they include their personal experiences, intimacy and private lives in the stories they tell. The film also shows excerpts from the performance put on at the 2016 Ljubljana Pride Parade.

In Turkey you are obliged to prove your sexual orientation in order to avoid military service. By proving enough femininity one can be certified as having a mental disorder which makes you unfit for the military (the word “rotten” in Turkish is used to describe these people). This short documentary film, a poignant satire aimed against a conserv­ative society proposes a very interesting look at a society that stigmatises homosexuals.

Both 27 years old, Oscar and Simon have been together for several years and desperately want a baby, so they’ve gotten their close friend Cissi to agree to be their surrogate mother. Together, the three friends decide to become a modern Swedish fami­ly. But nine months into their pregnancy, they’re all still wondering who the father is—Simon or Oscar? This coincides with the guys inviting both sets of their slightly homophobic parents for Christmas, so they can share the happy news that they’re about to be grandparents.

Carole decided to join her lover at the farm. But could feminism and lesbianism easily be transferred to the countryside and its standards of the time...?

Bolesno / Sick

At the age of 16 Ana was locked up in a psychiatric hospital by her parents who ar­ranged the treatment for curing her homo­sexuality with the hospital director. After five years she is free and longs for a girl who won’t find her crazy because of her PTSD condition. She finds one in her new love Martina. They get engaged and plan their wedding. However, Martina’s huge patience and devotion wanes with time as she finds Ana more obsessed with her traumatic past than with the life they’re sharing together. ‘Sick’ is a film about love, betrayal, revenge, and forgiveness.

As father and son clash over their opposing expectations of each other, Viva becomes a love story as the men struggle to understand one another and become a fam­ily again.

Der Ost-Komplex / The GDR Complex

Being gay, resilient, young and con­servative, Mario Roellig became one of the youngest and most in– demand witnesses to the atrocities of the GDR. He guides groups through today’s memorial site in the former Stasi (GRD State Security Services) pris­on where he was once incarcerated. Roellig speaks to school classes all over Germany and has been invited to universities abroad, always pointing out the special queer mo­ment in his life drama.

The film is based on the novel ‘Mikaël’ by Danish author Herman Bang, about an artist and his young protégé. The ageing artist is a sculptor, who at the beginning of the film sets out to work on a piece called ‘The Wings, inspired by the Ikaros myth. The film evolves into an asymmetric love trian­gle, where the old master in growing despair sees the young model/painter get infatuated by a countess.
