The directions to the manifestation site – how to get there.
FROM LJUBLJANA BUS / RAILWAY STATION: If you come by train, make sure that you take the exit Center, not “Bežigrad – Vilharjeva”. When you come from the railway building, turn right and cross the first zebra crossing with traffic lights. Go straightforward into that street (Miklošičeva street) to the end. Cross the bridge (“The three bridges”) and go straightforward while you can (approximately 50 metres), then turn right and go straightforward. After approx. 5 minutes of walking you’ll see Galerija Škuc.
FROM SOUTHWEST (Rijeka, Trieste): before Ljubljana, the highway splits to “Ljubljana – sever” (north – straightforward) and “Ljubljana – zahod” (west – right). Go to “Ljubljana – zahod”. Take the first exit from the highway (“Industrijska cona Vič”). At first traffic lights go right to “Center”. Then drive several kilometres straigthforward until you get to a crossing where you can go only left or straightforward (slightly right, actually).
If you would prefer to leave your car near Galerija Škuc, where manifestation starts, go straightforward (i.e. slightly right) and see instructions 1 below.
If you would prefer to leave your car near Metelkova, where manifestation ends, go left at this traffic lights. Drive straightforward at the next seven traffic lights (the traffic lights in the starting crossing are not counted, also note that the third and the sixth traffic lights are only zebra crossings). Park your car in the first or in the second street to the right after the last crossing with traffic lights. The Metelkova complex is between these two streets.
FROM SOUTHEAST (Zagreb): before Ljubljana, the highway splits. Go to Ljubljana – zahod (Ljubljana – jug). After several kilometres, take the exit “Industrijska cona Vič”. See “from southwest” for what to do after that exit.
FROM NORTH (Klagenfurt, Villach): After the highway go left to “Center” and drive straightforward for several kilometres, until you drive below a railway level crossing.
If you would prefer to leave your car near Galerija Škuc, where manifestation starts, go right and then straightforward while you can. You will come to a crossing where you can only go left or right. Go left and see instructions 1 below.
If you would prefer to leave your car near Metelkova, where manifestation ends, go left. Drive straightforward at the next five traffic lights (the traffic lights in the starting crossing are not counted, also note that the first and the fourth traffic lights are only zebra crossings). Park your car in the first or in the second street to the right after the last crossing with traffic lights. The Metelkova complex is between these two streets.
FROM NORTHEAST (Vienna, via Maribor / Celje): Soon after the Ljubljana highway starts, there is a rondo (a circular crossing). Take the first exit, keep to the left – go left/down on highway, do not go right/up. Take the first exit off the highway (50-100 metres later). Go left at the traffic lights and drive straightforward until you drive below a railway level crossing.
If you would prefer to leave your car near Galerija Škuc, where manifestation starts, go straightforward in the next three crossings (the first crossing and the zebra crossings are not counted). Go left and follow the instructions 2 below.
If you would prefer to leave your car near Metelkova, where manifestation ends, go left. Drive straightforward athe the next three traffic lights (the traffic lights in the starting crossing are not counted, also note that the second traffic lights is only a zebra crossing). Park your car in the first or in the second street to the right after the last crossing with traffic lights. The Metelkova complex is between these two streets.
HOW TO GET TO GALERIJA ŠKUC – INSTRUCTIONS 1: Drive straightforward through the next crossing and then follow instructions 2 below.
HOW TO GET TO GALERIJA ŠKUC – INSTRUCTIONS 2: Drive downhill, go straightforward through the next crossing, pass the bridge and go right immediately after the bridge. Park somewhere. Then return the same way, cross the road (but not the bridge) and go straightforward in the second street (the first one is the one that runs by the river). Soon you’ll see Galerija Škuc.
HOW TO GET FROM METELKOVA TO GALERIJA ŠKUC (on foot): return the same way you’ve arrived, until you get to the railway / bus station. Follow instructions on “HOW TO GET TO GALERIJA ŠKUC FROM BUS / RAILWAY STATION” above.
