Free LGBT Tour in English and Slovene | LGBT Film Festival 2019

We are proudly announcing that the Ljubljana LGBT Tour will be part of the 35th LGBT Film Festival program. Join us on a free walking tour in English and Slovene on 30th November at 11AM.

The festival was first organized in 1984 as part of the Magnus Festival. It is the oldest LGBT film festival in Europe and at the same time the oldest international film festival in Slovenia. Film screenings take place at the Slovenian Cinematheque, traditionally around 1 December – World AIDS Day.

Ljubljana LGBT Tour was designed by local longstanding LGBT activists and artists Suzana Tratnik and Brane Mozetič. The walking tour is a journey through pre-socialist and socialist struggles for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and queer community. It showcases places where it all kicked off, visits the current LGBTQ+ friendly clubs and cafés as well as presents the stories behind the politics of the LGBTQ+ movement.
